Floyd is a guy that has had a pretty good run in the real estate market. Over the years, he has built his reputation as a real estate and financial expert. He is also kind of like the old “Real Estate Guru” that every single resident of the Real Estate World has been trying to imitate.
Floyd is pretty funny, and a great example of how not to be a real estate agent. He basically has the ability to talk anyone into anything, and he has had a lot of people that he helped in his real estate sales career tell him “I don’t need a real estate agent, I need an engineer.” Now, here is the thing: the thing that Floyd is selling is really a concept. It is a concept of how the human mind works.
I think one of the biggest complaints about real estate agents is that they have to be extremely good at selling themselves to the masses. That is literally the only thing you need to be good at. To sell yourself, you must have a good sense of who you are. One of the biggest problems with real estate agents is they don’t take themselves very seriously.

The problem is when you take yourself seriously, then you are actually not taking yourself very seriously. The real estate agent doesn’t have to be much of a person to sell himself to the public, but when he does, then he is. Because when you do your job properly, you are really taking yourself very seriously.
I know what you’re thinking, “So what if you’re not taking yourself seriously?” It’s hard enough being a real estate agent, but being a real estate agent with a serious personality is a whole other level of work, and the people you sell to are far more important than the money.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you should ignore being a big person or being personable. But you have to know how to look a person in the eye and make them feel youre interested in them. You have to know how to smile and have a sense of humor. You have to have a nice little body with a nice little voice. You might have to go through several glasses, but you have to know how to fix them up.
I guess this is why I like the guy. He makes me feel like my opinions matter. He knows how to talk to people in a way that doesn’t look like he’s trying to be all cool and stuff. He makes you feel like you matter, which is rare.

A few years ago he began working at Google, where he developed a number of products, including the Google Buzz social-network product.
